Alternative therapies first began to interest me in 2000, when I visited a reflexologist hoping to alleviate a bout of stress-related insomnia. I must admit I was skeptical: how could a foot massage help with my sleeping problems? But I was so strung out that I was willing to try anything. Sleeping pills hadn’t worked, neither had yoga.
I found my first reflexology treatment very relaxing - even though it was slightly painful at times - and the results were fantastic! After several treatments, my insomnia was well and truly behind me.
This inspired me to learn more about reflexology. I graduated from the Central London School of Reflexology in 2004 and went on to explore a number of different foot reflexology styles and techniques, which in turn led me to face reflexology.
The client response to face reflexology was incredibly positive from the start. Not only were people finding it every bit as effective and relaxing as foot reflexology, they were also experiencing added beauty benefits. Their feedback motivated me to look into non-surgical facelifts and I went on to study Japanese Facial Lifting, a more beauty-oriented treatment, which has also generated a very positive response.
Having worked in an office environment for more than ten years, I am very aware of the stresses that can result from the demands of working life - and how we all need to take time out to relax. All the treatments I offer are extremely soothing and go a long way towards alleviating the pressures of modern living.
